Five good reasons to upgrade to Sage 50 Accounting 2015 from Sage 50 Accounting 2013 or earlier (e.g. Sage Peachtree Accounting)

If you are currently using Sage 50 Accounting 2013 or earlier (e.g. Sage Peachtree Accounting), then by upgrading to Sage 50 Accounting 2015 you will get the option to start using Suntico, which is a new online account management solution.

Here are five reasons why you may want to consider Suntico for Sage 50 Accounting 2015.

1. Provide people in your business with access to your Sage 50 Accounting data – without having to give them direct access to Sage.

You may want to share customer information with your sales team, such as order history or invoice details or status. Maybe you do this today using email? This is very inefficient though. An email with an attached invoice or report provides a fixed snapshot of information that is valid at the time. But as time goes on nobody knows if the information is still correct. It also becomes increasingly difficult to find the email in the first place. With Suntico, you can provide your colleagues with online access to your Sage 50 Accounting data. No longer do you need to create a report and send it or attach files to emails and send these out. Your colleagues can simply look up the information they need (subject of course to user permissions), when they need it.

2. Track tasks across the company that relate to your Sage 50 Accounting records

Sage 50 Quantum Accounting includes a nice task-tracking feature. This is good, but it can only be used by people in your company that are users of Sage 50 Accounting. What if you want to track tasks relating to a customer or vendor record (which you cannot in Sage 50 Accounting), or coordinate collections activities with a sales rep who does not have access to Sage 50 Accounting? With Suntico you can assign and track tasks across the company. You can link these tasks to your Sage 50 Accounting records (e.g. chase customer XYZ for payment against sales invoice number 123456) without all the people involved needing direct access to Sage 50 Accounting.

3. Mobile or remote access to your Sage 50 Accounting information.

As workers spend more and more of their time out of the office, it becomes more important to make your business records accessible from anywhere. This may be to support a customer meeting or just to keep track of what is going on. Not only does Suntico give you mobile access to your Sage records, but also to all of your related internal notes and discussions that may be even more important.

4. Purchase Order & Sales Order Attachments

With Suntico you can attach any number of files to your Sage 50 Accounting records, including Sales Orders and Purchase Orders.  Suntico will also allow enable somebody that does not have direct access to Sage 50 Accounting to attach documents, such as a proof of delivery.  Sage 50 Accounting 2015 does not support attachments to Purchase Orders and Sales Orders, but Suntico does.  So you can use Suntico to keep vendor quotations together with purchase orders – including any internal notes and discussions relating to these.

5. Discuss / approve transactions

Suntico provides the facility for discussions and approvals around any transaction. The participants do not need to be direct users of the Sage 50 Accounting software, yet with Suntico they can still be involved to approve a payment, clarify details of an invoice, or confirm when an order has been completed.

So, if you are using Sage 50 Accounting 2013 or earlier (e.g. Sage Peachtree Accounting) and are wondering why you should upgrade to Sage 50 Accounting 2015, then please take a look at Suntico.
